Heyman came to the ring with the Kennedy Alliance: Ken Kennedy, Umaga, Abyss,
Giant Bernard and Travis Tomko to cheers from the crowd.)
Paul Heyman: This is E-C-W! This isn't the PWF. This isn't a load of bullshit
about Bret Hart, Chris Hero or even Jim Cornette. This is ECW. This is my
company and I stand here prepared to re-start something that should have never
gone away in the first place.
(The fans chanted "E-C-W!")
Paul Heyman: With this move I've made and with the men who have followed me
from the PWF and joined me from other promotions, this is a clean slate for the
entire ECW roster.
(Heyman turned to Kennedy.)
Paul Heyman: Kennedy, a clean slate is exactly what was necessary. I've done
all I can do for you. I handed you an oxygen mask when you had no air left.
I've helped you put together a group of soldiers to do your work for you.
Kennedy, I've essentially put you on top. Now, it's time for you to fend for
yourself. You're Kennedy Alliance may still be operational, but I'll have no
part in it. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the alternative. Welcome to the
future. Welcome to E-C-W!
(Heyman left the ring to cheers from the crowd as Kennedy faced Umaga, Abyss,
Bernard and Tomko. Umaga and Abyss left the ring separately as Kennedy demanded
they return to the ring. Bernard and Tomko squared off with Kennedy and shoved
him. Bernard and Tomko proceeded to leave the ring as Kennedy stood alone, his
Alliance dismantled and the fans jeering him.)

-Prior to the event, the roster for ECW was announced: Taz, Sabu, The Sandman, Raven, Tommy Dreamer, Rob Van Dam, Rhino, Steve Corino, Justin Credible, Lance Storm, Buh Buh Ray Dudley, D-Von Dudley, Jerry Lynn, CM Punk, Ken Kennedy, Samoa Joe, Bryan Danielson, Davey Richards, Umaga, Abyss, Giant Bernard, Travis Tomko, Simon Diamond, Swinger, C.W. Anderson, Yoshihiro Tajiri, Scotty Anton, Jay Briscoe and Mark Briscoe.
-During the event, it was announced that tournaments would be held for the vacant ECW World Heavyweight, World Television and World Tag Team Championships beginning on 4/7/18 at the first ECW House Show event.
